Abstract
The disilagermirane 1 is obtained in good yields from (Me3Si)3 SiLi(thf) and GeCl2. The germyllithium compound 2 was also prepared; its anion, the higher homologue of the p. starting material for 1, might prove to be a versatile building block for a great variety of mixed three-membered rings containing the heavier elements of group 14.
